Proceeds from the Carry the Torch Charity Fundraiser will assist four Northwoods charities that brighten the lives of thousands of families in northern Wisconsin.

Lakeland Pantry

“Neighbors Helping Neighbors”
Lakeland Pantry, a 501(c) 3, serves more than 1,800 families throughout the Lakeland area. These families receive a two-week supply of food along with clothing, infant supplies and other essentials. The pantry distributes 16,000 pounds of food items each week to Lakeland area residents.

Northwoods United Way

The Northwoods United Way, Inc., a locally directed organization, works to improve lives in Forest, Oneida and Vilas Counties by mobilizing community resources and strategically investing in human service programs.
The corporation is to assess on a continuing basis, the need for human service programs, to seek solutions to human problems, to assist in the development/expansion of human service programs, to promote preventative activities and to foster cooperation among local, state and national agencies serving the community.
The Northwoods United Way funds more than 20 agencies that provide such services as family resource assistance, temporary housing and youth activities to Northwoods residents.

Lac du Flambeau Abinoojiiyag (Youth) Center

The Lac du Flambeau Abinoojiiyag (Youth) Center offers a wide variety of after school and cultural programs for more than 500 youth in the Lac du Flambeau area. The Youth Center hosts many club activities, including cultural learning programs and Ojibwe language instructional programs.

Wisconsin North Central Chapter of the American Red Cross

The American Red Cross North Central Chapter serves communities across Iron, Vilas, Florence, Price, Oneida, Forest, Marinette, Taylor, Lincoln, Langlade, Menominee, Oconto, Clark, Marathon, Shawano, Wood and Portage counties.
The Wisconsin North Central Chapter of American Red Cross provides critical assistance to disaster and fire victims in the Northwoods and central Wisconsin area. The Red Cross also teaches classes on CPR and emergency preparedness, along with sending assistance to armed service members and their families.
