Help Local Children Stay Bundled This Winter By Participating in Warm Up to Winning

Lac du Flambeau, Wis. – Help ensure local schoolchildren are properly dressed for the upcoming winter weather by participating in Warm Up to Winning in November at Lake of the Torches Resort Casino.

Club Advantage members are encouraged to donate a new pair of children’s mittens/gloves or a hat on Tuesdays in November. Items can be dropped off at the casino’s Guest Services or Club Advantage desks between 7:30 a.m. – 10 p.m. We’ll also accept gently used children’s winter coats.

For their generosity, Club members will receive $10 Free Play on each Tuesday they donate a children’s winter clothing item. Anyone 21 and older who is not a member can join Club Advantage on any day to participate. It’s quick, simple and free!

All collected items will be donated to the Lac du Flambeau Public School. School officials and teachers will distribute the hats, mittens and coats to children on an as-needed basis to replace lost clothing items or for children who come to school without the proper winter clothing on a particularly cold day.

“Please join us in ensuring every local child is protected from the cold and the winter elements this year. We thank all of our Club members who participated in the past and encourage everyone to help us make this year’s Warm Up to Winning an even bigger success!” said Lake of the Torches’ Director of Marketing Leana Schlecht.

Situated on the shores of Pokegama Lake and nestled in Wisconsin’s Northwoods, the Lake of the Torches Resort Casino has a feel of a classic Northern retreat and reflects its Ojibwe culture and heritage. The casino has over 800 slot machines (including a non-smoking area), seven blackjack tables, a three-card poker table and three Texas Hold’Em poker tables along with Roulette and Craps tables, a high-stakes Bingo Hall seating up to 500 persons, the Woody’s Bar and Grill and the Eagle’s Nest Restaurant. The hotel has 101 well-appointed rooms, the Dancing Waters Lounge and the Woodlands Oasis pool area. The 8,500 square-foot Convention Center with the Hall of Nations offers an outstanding venue for entertainment, receptions, trade shows, meetings, presentations and seminars.
