Lac du Flambeau, Wis. – Purchase your tickets to see Northwoods MMA star Frank Schuman compete for the King of the Cage Welterweight title belt on Saturday, Oct. 17, at Lake of the Torches Resort Casino.
Schuman, a Lac du Flambeau tribal member, will compete for the title in his hometown during a night of intense mixed martial arts action. Tickets for this event are $65, $45 and $30 and will go on sale at 9 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 17. Ages 14 – 17 are welcome when accompanied by an adult. Purchase your tickets soon as this will be a sell out event.
He will enter the title fight after scoring an impressive victory against Robert Gotreau of Minnesota during King of the Cage “Attack Mode” in July. Schuman won the bout with a choke submission in 40 seconds of the first round. He currently has a 7-0 professional fight record and will lay that record on the line as he battles for his long-sought title belt.
The event will also feature Lac du Flambeau tribal member Adrian Pierson who will be seeking a win in the cage during an exciting match. Both athletes train at the Leadership Academy in Woodruff under Coach Gary Engels who is a 4th degree black belt.
