Lac du Flambeau, Wis. – Lake of the Torches Resort Casino donated more than $31,000 to civic and charity organization in 2021, helping to brighten the lives of thousands throughout the Northwoods and beyond.
In addition to the generous monetary donations, Lake of the Torches donated more than 200 hotel room certificates that were used as in-kind donations to fundraisers occurring throughout Wisconsin, Minnesota, northern Illinois and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The donations were used by civic organization, volunteer fire and EMS departments, sportsmen clubs and other community-focused groups in their fundraising activities which sustain their vital services.
“We are very proud to donate to many organizations and community groups throughout the Northwoods and the entire state who make such a crucial difference in people’s lives,” said Lake of the Torches Marketing Manager Shannon Retana. “This could not be accomplished without our guests and support from the community. Lake of the Torches is committed to being a generous partner with our neighbors in communities throughout the region and the state.”
Situated on the shores of Pokegama Lake and nestled in Wisconsin’s Northwoods, the Lake of the Torches Resort Casino has a feel of a classic Northern retreat and reflects its Ojibwe culture and heritage.
