More Than 1,200 Winter Clothing Items Collected For Local Children at Lake of the Torches Resort Casino

Lac du Flambeau, Wis. – Lake of the Torches Resort Casino presented the Lac du Flambeau Public School with 1,238 winter clothing items to help ensure local schoolchildren stay warm this winter.
The donated hats, mittens, gloves and coats were collected during the Warm Up to Winning promotion held on Thursdays in November. As part of the promotion, a total of 745 Club Advantage members brought in children’s mittens, gloves, hats or gently used winter coats. Club members received $10 Free Play each day they donated an item.

These clothing items will be distributed to students at the Lac du Flambeau Grade School on an as-needed basis to replace missing or lost hats, mittens or gloves. They also will be handed out to students who do not have these important clothing items during harsh conditions.

“We sincerely thank our Club Advantage members for their wonderful generosity in making our Warm Up to Winning promotion another success,” said Lake of the Torches Director of Marketing Leana Schlecht. “These winter clothing items will ensure local children stay warm throughout the winter weather season.”
